This game by Czech designers won’t let you catch your breath for a second. In Crash Derby, you must think ahead, plan carefully, react to the evolving situation on the track, and manage your actions with precision. At the same time, you’ll be watching your opponents, who will try to slow you down or exploit every mistake you make.

Four Flags. No Mercy.

Your goal is to be the first to pass four flags scattered across a hazard-filled map. Rough terrain, mines, obstacles, and relentless opponents stand in your way. Each player takes the wheel of their own off-road vehicle, striving not only to optimize their route but, above all, to outsmart their rivals.

Crash Derby is a race where almost anything goes. Shooting, ramming opponents, clever use of obstacles, and well-timed slowdowns are all legitimate parts of your strategy. The more aggressive your playstyle, the greater your chances of victory.

A Unique Gear System

Each player has a board with three interlocking gears that represent their car’s steering system. Every gear offers four possible actions: turning, shooting, preparing a mine, gaining a coin, or moving. You’ll need to plan several steps ahead while accounting for constant interference from other players. On your turn, you rotate the gears—if you mismanage your actions, your car can quickly turn into an uncontrollable machine. The gear mechanism adds both flair and meaningful strategic depth. Every decision matters, and a single mistake can change the outcome of the race.

Modular Map, Constant Tension

The game board is built from double-sided tiles that can be combined in many ways. The number of tiles adjusts to the player count, making every session unique and requiring fresh strategic thinking. This variability forces you to reassess your tactics each time and plan your moves according to the specific layout of the track.

With two players, the game emphasizes careful planning and precise action management. With three or four, it turns into controlling chaos, where the ranking can shift in a single round. These moments—when you pass a flag while simultaneously pushing an opponent out of position—make every race thrilling right up to the final second.
